Big Ed's Trapping Tips - Don't Cut the Corners!
Share
Don't cut the corners! Rodents love corners but PCO’s should avoid using glue boards in them. Glue boards and monitors work best when placed in such a way that will allow you to intercept rodents as they travel from one hidden location to another. As a rodent approaches a corner it slows and advances cautiously. This allows them to sense and investigate the newly placed item thoroughly. If it’s vibrissae sense the sticky surface they will avoid the area. These prime locations in your account are better addressed by the use of mechanical devices like snap traps and multi-catch traps. Rodent bait stations can also be considered if the location is appropriate. Remember, don't cut the corners!
